    University student Kɇn Kanɇki becomes injured by Rizɇ, a human eating ghoul. Kɇn is saved when a steel frame falls on the ghøul. They are both sent to the hospital, where Kɇn receives an organ transplant from Rizɇ. Because of that, he becomes a half ghøul.
